African Diaspora Investment Symposium
From Jan. 23 to 25, the African Diaspora Network convened more than 300 entrepreneurs, investors and innovators from across the globe at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View for its fifth annual African Diaspora Investment Symposium. The conference also honored 20 winners of the Builders of Africa’s Future Award.
Montalvo Arts Center Gala
A gala at Montalvo Arts Center, One Enchanted Evening, on Feb. 9 brought in just under $500,000 to support the center’s artistic and educational programming efforts and ongoing mission to engage the community in the creative process. Opera singer Renee Fleming performed at the event.
