ARTIST PROFILE
Stephen Olamide Oni is a prolific Nigerian artist specializes in Paintings, Graphics, Photography and Art therapy. He had his formal training from Obafemi Awolowo University Nigeria, in Fine Art (B.A Edu). He is a typical experimental artist, a social and visual communicator. His artistic rendition is greatly influenced by African themes and philosophies.
He won 1st Prize Award at the United Nations (MDGs) Artposter Competition held in Abuja 2005, actively participated in the 10th Harmattan Art Workshop organized by Bruce Onobrakpeya’s Foundation in Delta State 2008, African Artists Foundation Photography portfolio review at Lagos Nigeria, Caterina Di Medici Italy/Lagos State Government powered Painting Competition Award in 2010. His exhibition participation includes Beautiful Nigeria at the National Museum Onikan Lagos and Thought Pyramid Gallery in Abuja , Aesthetics Bond held at Didi Museum Victoria Island Lagos, Araism Movment 5 at Mydrim Gallery Lagos, Art on the Mainland by Artzero Group at the National Council for Art and Culture Lagos, Alliance Francaise held at Ibadan and Enugu, Nymdis Gallery art show Lagos, 3rd Black Heritage Artists at Nike Art Gallery Lekki Lagos, Unesco Africa Week Celebration at France in 2015, Invitation for exhibition at Brick Lane Gallery London, International Tourism Day art commemoration at Tinapa Calabar Nigeria, 2019 Osun Osogbo Festival exhibition at Center for Black Culture and International Understanding Osogbo, Art of our Culture show at the Lagos Business School, Ajah Nigeria, Painting Colour Virtual Art exhibition organised by Bougie Art Gallery Canada 2020 among others.

MY PERSPECTIVE AS A YOUNG PERSON
Everyone born into the world has a divine purpose, discovery of ones potencial is very paramount and must be channeled towards legitimate actions.
However, talent, persistency, hard work, prayer, integrity are the required virtures.
